Mental health and suicide prevention

Life can be hard, and for many, too hard.

Sadly, the statistics overwhelmingly indicate men are 3-4 times more likely to take their own lives and in some instances, account for over 75% of all suicides.

Men often find it difficult to talk about their mental health issues, with studies showing that over 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health concerns… and I’ve been part of that 40%. I felt ashamed, like I’d failed somehow and didn’t want to be seen as weak.

But, after seeking help, opening up to a trusted few, I want to encourage any and all that if you’re not feeling ok, it’s ok, help is out there and there’s nothing wrong in asking for it.
We’d rather you bear your soul than lose you.
